Data Types in Salesforce
Salesforce has a variety of field types, so you may either create a custom field from scratch or transform an existing piece of data if that’s what you need. Consider using the Lookup Relationship field to establish a Lookup Relationship between the parent object and the parent object.
Before adding any custom fields in Salesforce, we must select the appropriate field type for our needs. Let’s learn about the various Salesforce field types.
Text: It allows users to enter both letters & Numbers.
Text area: It allows users to enter numbers & text up to 225 characters.
Text area(long): The user can enter up to 32768 characters on separate lines.
